Hola familia!! How is everyone?? It's hard to believe it's already been a week! Time is wierd here.. the days are long but the weeks are short! Basically all I do everyday is study all day long! The fist few days were hard to get used to everything. I felt like I had no idea what was going on or what we were supposed to be doing and it was pretty overwhelming. You kinda have to figure a lot out on your own. But I've gotten used to it now and I love it! I have never gotten such great sleep! I'm so exhausted by the end of the day that I get some awesome deep sleep! Thanks for the package! I got the shoes yesterday and I was so dissapointed there wasn't anything from home in them! But then I got the other one this morning I'm okay now! The language is coming pretty fast! We taught our fist lesson- in english- but it went way better than I thought it would! The missionaries you teach take on a roll of someone they know that isn't LDS and it becomes very real and the Spirit just takes over! It's awesome! Next Saturday we are going to teach a lesson is Spanish! Scary!! But I'm studying as much as I can so hopefully I can remember how to say everything! My companion is Hermana Norman. She is an adorable little 4'10 girl. She reminds me of Annie-the movie. We are a lot a like and just get a long great. The Lord really knows what he is doing! All the companionships are perfect for eachother! I love being here, it's so much fun! I've heard things my teachers have said, or things that have been said in devotionals, and I know this is where I need to be right now! It so awesome being surrounded by people who love the Lord and the gospel and want to do everything they can to be obedient! So new plans!! We are going to the CCM (MTC) in Peru October 13th! I'm way excited!! It's not for sure- nothing ever is- but if we get our Visas in time that's where they are sending us! It will be so great to be immersed in the language and be forced to learn it and learn it fast! One of my teachers, Hermano Cragun, served with Brandi's fiance Seth! He told us a story about one of his companions Elder Haywood and I said was his name Seth?? And he said yeah...... I said I know him!! He was a little freaked out and probably regretted telling the story cause it was about a companion who had a hard time staying focused on what they were doing... Sorry Seth!! haha but he said you were an awesome compaion! So General Conference is this week!! I'm excited!! I love hearing the Prohet and Apostles speak! It's gonna be fun to listen from a missionaries point of view and see how much applies to me or the people I will be teaching! I'm starting to realize the Book of Mormon is full of missionary stories and it's awesome! I don't know why I was so nervous to talk about the gospel, I thought it would be so hard to explain and teach but it's really not. It's so simple! God loves us. We are his children. He provided a plan for us to be able to live with him again. He sent his Son to earth to teach his gospel and to die for our sins. We can have our sins forgiven if we are obedient and repent when we have made a mistake. Obedience is key! That's pretty much the MTC motto! But it is true! If you are obedient you are happy! Everyone is happy here! I love it! I love you all! Have an amazing day!!!

Hermana Nelson
