Hi family!! Things are going well here. We have been doing a lot of contacting with not a lot of luck but the hard work will pay off one day! We are teaching a couple with a cute little boy! Their names are Manuel and Maria. They are getting married this Friday and they are super excited! When we first told them that they had to get married before they could be baptized he was a little hesitant but eventually warmed up to the idea and they have been planning ever since! Their date is for the 26th of March. He hasn`t been able to come to church because of work but the Sunday he will be able to and then they can get baptized! Susana also came to church this week! We contacted her the other day and are teaching her and her daughter. Her daughter, Janet is a single mom, she has a 2 month old baby girl who is so adorable! Janet studied all kinds of religions and knows a lot and is super interested in the church! I`m not sure yet if she is a logic type of person or not but hopefully she will be able to pray and get an answer. We have only taught them once so we have a way to go with them! That`s about all of our investigators right now.. we are working super hard to find new ones. Every day is a learning experience but my faith and testimony are being strengthened everyday. I love this Gospel and I am so grateful for the Atonement, Plan of Salvation and for the happiness I have because of it. It`s a blessing to be able to share my testimony with others so that they can have a chance at the the same hope and happieness I have in my life. Thank you Mom and Dad for all that you taught me. I wouldn`t be the person I am today without you. I love you all xoxoXo Love forever and always, Hermana Nelson

Los Chillos
This is a really nice area, it`s like a little Snowflake, AZ! But the sun is way stronger here. My scalp is sunburned and half of my neck. My companion isn`t very happy and I don`t know what else to do for her. I have a limited vocabulary and only so many questions I can ask. She is just stressed about being in charge and we don`t really have very many investigators so she is really worried. So you can pray for her! (Hermana Gonsalez) I don`t really know what is going on with the investigators back in El Eden but they are in good hands! We are teaching 4 brothers from Haiti, they all speak French, one knows a little spanish and one knows a little English! They got a letter friday that they had 48 hours to leave the country but they don`t have any money to get home so I don`t know what is going to happen. 2 of them were baptized a few weeks ago and we are still working on the other 2. We went into Quito to take them to the bishops storehouse today cause they have no food but when we got there it was closed. So I gave them a little of my money so they could go buy some food unitl they can get back to Quito. I hope everything works out for them. The one who speaks English wants to visit the US and wants me to write a letter of reccomendation for him to try and get a visa to go. I don`t know if I am allowed to.. Right now it`s rainy rainy. Sorry this is so short. Not much has happened this week.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hi family!Happy Valentine`s Day! Does everyone have fun dates planned
for tonight?? I hope so! Well I got transfered! I am in Los Chillos
now with Hermana Gonsalez! She seems really cute! Hopefully I will
love it here as much as I did in El Eden! It will be a great learing
and growing experience!
So Tuesday we had an Hermana`s conference and the wives of President
Sloan`s counselors spoke to us about how to have an effective
scripture study and about giving acts of service from the heart. They
were companions in their missions and they were great speakers! I
learned a lot from them! And then Hermana and President Sloan spoke
and it was incredible of course! It was a really fun day! We are
having another one in May before the new president comes in June! I`m
sure he will be a great president but it will be really sad to have
President Sloan leave.
Thank you for being so supportive of me! I couldn`t be here without
you all. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve. I am blessed
everyday and I know it is because of your thoughts and prayers. I love
the gospel and I love seeing how it changes peoples lives. It is
amazing to see and feel the power of the Atonement. I never could have
really known how it works without being here on this mission. I have
learned so much and I know there is a lot I still have to learn so I
just pray that I can be humble and teachable and patient while I am
learning all these lessons. Thank you for everything!! I love you
all!!

El Eden Times! (What ever that means?)
Hi family!! How is everyone? This week has been good! I don`t know if
I told you last week about the guy who came running up to us wanting
to know more about the church? Well his name is Jose and we started
teaching him this week! He is crazy into learning and he loves
learning about religion and it is so fun because he knows english so
he likes us to teach in english. Well the problem is I have only
taught in spanish and every gospel related word comes to my mind in
spanish! So trying to teach in english is the funniest thing ever
because I can`t think! I have to talk so slow and I sound so lame and
cheesy! Most of the time it comes out half english half spanish! It`s
terrible. I am scared to see how my homecoming talk turns out! I`m
going to have to write it all out before hand and just read it cause I
won`t be able to think in english! Anyway he seems really interested!
He basically knew everything before we even taught him so now he just
has to gain a testimony and come to church and he is set! He came
yesterday with his cute little boy so we will have to see what he
thought!
We are also teaching the wife of a recent convert! Her name is Karmen
and the first night I got to the mission we went to visit them and she
was so not happy with her "esposo". They aren`t married but it`s gonna
happen soon! Anyway she just was not a happy lady! They have 4 little
kids and they moved out but they are here visiting and now we are
teaching her! She is a completely different person! Happy all the time
and loves coming to church and she wants to get baptized! So we are
working on getting them married so they can all live together! Jose
(the "husband") is so happy! He`s like a teenage boy! This has been
his biggest wish! We are excited for them!
We are also teaching a little 11 year old boy- Eddison- who`s mom is a
member but she was inactive and he never got baptied. But they started
coming back to church and he wants to be baptized! They live out of
our area during the week and live here on the weekends so it`s kinda
hard to teach him. They live an hour away too. But we are figuring it
all out! The mom is so excited!
So yesterday we were contacting and we got to this house and a lady
answered who had some mental issues but we talked to her for a while
and then as we were leaving a girl was hanging out the window saying
No Gracias!! She had special needs too. So I don`t know if there is
someone living there taking care of them or what but I want to find
out and see how I can help them! I will probably have to wait until
after the mission to do something but I don`t know know! Maybe I can
talk to the hummanitarian missionary couple!
We get to have a specialized traning tomorrow for just the sisters!!
I`m so excited to see everyone! All the sisters but one from my
district at the MTC are here so it`s a lot of fun! I will tell you all
about it next week! Thank you for everything you all do for me! I
couldn`t be here without you! xoxoXo
Love forever and always,
Hermana Nelson
