Hola familia! Còmo estàs?
Well this week has been crazy! But what else is new? So, Friday we went with our district leader to visit the Barrera family and I was surprised she let us in! Anyway he worked his magic and got her to commit to read the Book of Mormon! He was super bold and direct and said things I would never say to an investigator, some things she didn`t take too well! haha but in the end it all worked out and she is reading a little bit! They didn't come to church yesterday because it was Father`s Day and they went to visit her Dad in Ibarra, I think. But there is still hope for them! Well, there is always hope but now there is more!
And last Saturday we found a family, I don`t know if I told you, the Yèpes family. His sister and her husband got baptized about 4 months ago with our zone leaders. Anyway they were there last Saturday in the lesson and it went really well but they didn`t accept a date. They couldn`t see us during the week so we went back on Saturday and one of the first things she asked was what do they have to do to prepare for baptism!!!! The best question any investigator can ask!! So we taught them and the accepted a date for July 9th!! WOO HOO!! Finally, a family!! I`m so so excited!! haha So keep them in your prayers please that they can make their goal!! They came to church on Sunday! We didn`t think they were going to come because we they weren`t where we said we were going to
meet them. But they came! After the sacrament, so they didn`t get to see that, but at least they came!
And Tania, Roberto, Gabriela, and their cousin came to church too! We are having a little problem getting them to get permission from their parents to be baptized, so keep them in your prayers too please! We are being so blessed with people to teach and I am so grateful!
The other shocking news is that Hermana Garcia got changed and I am going to be training! A North American! Wow. I am still kind of in shock! I really don`t know what to say about it right now.. I`ve only been senior comanion for 2 weeks!! What in the world do I know about training someone? But it will be fun! And I may have no idea what I am doing but I know the Lord will be helping me! And all of your prayers! I know I couldn't do anything without them and without the help of the Lord! I remember when I first got here, my trainer had 9 months, and I remember thinking, how would it be to have 9 months? And now I have been here 9 months and I am going to be training and I can`t believe it! I don`t know where the time went! I am staying with Hermana Rodgers tonight, because the new missionaries aren`t coming until tomorrow, and it feels like just yesterday that I was here in this sector with her! She is going to be moving houses tomorrow so I`m so happy I got to come back one last time and re-live those days! I can`t believe how fast time goes by! Anyway, sorry for my rambling, my mind is still spinning! But I love you all and thank you so much for everything that you do for me!
I love this gospel and I love being a missionary! This rollercoaster with the Barrera`s has made me realize that even more! I love these people and I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve here!
Have a great week!!

Happy Birthday Sis. Nelson!!
Hi family!! Thank you for all of the birthday wishes!! Happy Birthday on Saturday Jed!!! I can`t believe it`s birthday time again! It seems like just yesterday we were at Lake Powell celebrating! I`m sure Jed is happy he doesn`t have to be there for his birthday! haha Sorry Jed you only get a year off because next year we are going!! Can you believe on Saturday it will be one year since I got my call? And next week my mission will be half way over! How crazy!! I never thought I would live to see this day! And I know these next 9 months are going to fly by even faster! I still can`t believe it! Time is so wierd! A year and a half ago I never thought I would be where I am today! My life did a complete 180 and I will be forever grateful for everything that changed! Thank you for getting me to where I am today! Well things are going well here! Lot`s of patience, diligence and faith needed that`s for sure! But that`s how life is! Our PDF file( Patience, Diligence, Faith- just in case you didn`t get it!) as President Barker told me! It sounds like Jackson and I are in the same boat searching like crazy for families to teach! I called the Barrera Family yesterday after church because they didn`t answer in the morning and they weren`t home when we went to get them for church, and they said they didn`t want to listen anymore... My heart kinda really broke and I just wanted to cry! I love them so much and I want more than anything for them to go to the temple!! She said she wanted to talk to us in person and explain why so we are going tonight with the zone leaders to see what we can do. I`m sad and dissapointed but I know the Lord will prepare their hearts and bring them to the truth in his own time and way. We are still working with Tanya and Roberto, Roberto didn`t come to church though.. he says he dones`t feel comfortable with the Young men there and he is afraid he is going to become inactive after his baptism like his parents. So we are going to be working hard with the members to get him to feel good at church and to get his parents active again. We found a family on Saturday who have potential but they can only see us on saturdays because he works late, and they didn`t come to church because he likes to play soccer on Sunday`s so we need to work on that. Other that that not too much is going on! I don`t know if I ever told you about Manuels cousins we were teaching before we got transfered.. They were baptized!! All except Ines. And Manuel baptized them!! We got to go to the baptism cause they meet in our ward building! it was such a neat experience to see him exercising his Priesthood!! Sorry if I already told you about that.. I can`t remember. When I sit down to write my mind goes blank because there is so much going on I don`t know how to organize my thoughts!! Anyway Thank you for all the love and support!! I love you all and I am so grateful for this Gospel and that I get to share it with others!! Have a great week!! Happy Father`s day Papi!!!! I love you!!!! xoxoxoXo Love forever and always, Hermana Nelson

Changes!!
Hi family! How is everyone doing? Well Hermana Chonay finished her mission! I am so sad for her to go. We had such a great time together and lots of fun experiences. I am going to miss her. My companion is Hermana Garcia from Nicaragua. I went on divisions with her about a month ago so we kinda know eachother. My zone leaders kinda gave me a pep talk about having her as my companion. That kinda really scares me! haha But I am here to learn and grow right?? I think I will be learning a lot of patience and charity this change! WOO!! I have been in this zone for 4 months now so I think this will be my last change there and then I will have to leave.. So that means I only have about 2 months to do everything I can to help this ward grow. But with the Lord, anything is possible so I know it can be done!! Well Sunday we only had 2 investigators come to church, Tanya and Roberto. Tanya is a granddaughter of a recent convert but she says she has prepared for baptism twice now and her dad won`t let her get baptized. So she needs a lot of prayers!!! Roberto is their neighbor and his mom is less active. He seems really excited for his baptism so we just have to work hard and constant with him! Saturday we had a great lesson with a family we found a week or two ago about the importance of having family prayer, reading the Book of Mormon and going to church. And they finally accepted a date! We were all set to go pick them up for church, but they weren`t home, or just didn`t answer the door and their phone was turned off. Getting people to church is the hardest part of the mission I swear! After church is over I am so tired!!! I think they have p-day`s on a Monday for a reason!! haha The Barrera Family didn`t come to church either. We have an appointment with them tonight with the bishop so we will see how it goes. Well sorry I don`t have time to write more.. I love you all!! Thank you so much for everything!!! xoxoxXO Love forever and always,
